The 69th season of racing at the Del Mar Racetrack featured the second highest attendance in the history of the oceanfront track. The 44,181 in attendance where also part of an historic first for the iconic event. The X1FM Network and the Chris Cantore show produced the first live web-cast in the history of the racetrack.
Long before the sun was out, the X1FM network production team headed to the track to setup a state-of-the-art on-location broadcasting facility. As audio and video equipment paired with other esoteric devices that hummed in unison while the sights and sounds from the racetrack were beamed live to the world.

adiohead, never ones to shy away from trying new things, has shot its new video for "House of Cards" without using cameras at all. Whaa? Yes, they've used two fancy new technologies called Geometric Informatics and Velodyne Lidar. To shoot it using lasers and stuff. Let's break it down here.
The Geometric Informatics scanning system employs structured light to capture detailed 3D images at close proximity, and was used to render the performances of Radiohead's Thom Yorke, the female lead, and several partygoers. The Velodyne Lidar system uses multiple lasers to capture large environments in 3D, in this case 64 lasers rotating and shooting in a 360 degree radius...

The album is being produced with the approval of the Cash family under the guidance of John`s son John Carter Cash.
The album `Johnny Cash Remixed` is based on the original Sun sessions recordings. It will be released in October.

Elvis Costello is to become a fixture on both British and North
American screens with his brand new TV show: 'Spectacle: Elvis Costello

Over the course of 13 episodes, Elvis will chat and perform with some
very special guests, including Elton John, Tony Bennett and Lou Reed.

Chrysler has announced that its 2009 model-year cars will be have a wireless communication option called uconnect. Made up of Bluetooth hands-free, hard-drive based media, GPS and, most interestingly, the ability to turn your car into a WiFi hotspot, uconnect will be available on most Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep vehicles starting in August.
